Pink Woman - Michael Johnson, Original artwork, 1962 Bunte The original art work wasc. 1962, casein tempera on board, 44cm x 33cm Illustration commissioned by Art Director Tiny Watts for a story in Woman magazine. One of a set of rare surviving illustrations executed in casein paint which gives a softer, matt finish than acrylic. Johnson used casein before acrylic paint became widely available to commercial illustrators in the UK after 1963.
